Walking for Heart – The benefits of walking for the good of heart is immense and it can do wonders for the healthy functioning of our heart. The heart of the matter does not rest on just about knowing how much walking can make our heart healthy, it is equally or more importantly about religiously doing the talking of walking.
Walking for Mindfulness – It is about a mental state achieved by focusing and channeling our awareness on the present moments. And seamlessly aligning our scattered thoughts and diverse feelings with our judgement or justification of every thing we do. When we walk, and keep doing it with our body, mind in sync and get into our groove of rhythmic walking we get to acquire our mindfulness.
Walking for Fitness – Walking per se breaks the inactive state and by default puts us on the active state. One essential element of being fit is to be active and break away from the cycle of sedimentary lifestyle. In today’s fast paced world this very lifestyle is over bearing. Walking inherently does the work for breaking that cycle of stressed life and achieving fitness for both our body and mind.
Walking for Weight Loss – Obesity is residue of the lifestyle and eating habits we are cultivating and then we all look for means to burn those accumulated calories and cut the fat to regain the desired body structure. Weight is constantly weighing on our mind and we want at the same time feast on food, and such is the variety and taste, we succumb to our temptation. Walking is one of the easy ways to meet weight loss.
Walking for Work – There is inherent limitation on walking. As most of us have a big distance between the place of dwelling and the place of working, and very few of us have that walk-able range between the office and home, the advantage to walking for work. Work our ways and walking to work can be the harbinger of multiple benefits to us and society at large.
Walking for Pleasure – There is a pleasure in walking in leisure. We complain of lack of time and we take advantage of public transport system or the private vehicle at our disposal. Walking for Wondering – The desire to know something and being curious of things around us and what is happenings and how it is happening, is the bedrock of human discovery and scientific invention. Unless the questions are asked, there cannot be answers, and there have been questions that have asked from the origin of solar system to human life. There are answers to some of these questions as someone has wondered and done so while walking.
Walking for Writing – Writing is not an easy job and writing doesn’t come easily, hence writing needs the mind and the matter to be place to get the pieces of writing composition coming our creatively and consistently. Writing after walking gives the flow and pattern to writing the way we enjoy walking and breaking the inertia and blocks in writing. The connection between walking and writing seems mysterious but the combination is indeed wonderful as it gives the writer the eyes to wonder and mind to wander into a new world.
