Window to World
The window’s frame literally photo framed the perfect picture of the world…
– Nihar Pradhan
We all love our home; the room we live is so very special to us. But what is most refreshing is the designated space in the wall opening to the outside world. It is coined as “window” and we all love to open it, and the open window brings with it whiff of fresh air and rays of natural light. The windows open to the world outside. The windows are the natural eyes of the room, engineered in the bricks to become the eyewitness to the changing colours & flowering flavours of the nature.
We wake up in the morning, and look outside the window and if it is east facing, the rising sun ignites our mind. We walk towards the window in the evening and if it west facing the setting sun inspires our mind. Both the cases, in ignition or in inspiration we are levitated to a better of world of thinking and a greater world of imagination.
The window always remains special irrespective of the place or the space we move in, there is the dusk and there is the dawn. We cherish the change in the outside weather and greet the pleasant breeze that comes inside the room. The room is refreshed and we the occupants are stimulated…these experience gets simply elevated to altogether different world when the room is positioned opposite the Himalayan ranges at a height of over 7000 feet above the sea level in the heartland of mountains and valleys.
I was booked in the most fascinating resorts facing the mountain peaks and vast valleys, and was the bystander to the connecting hills of Himalayan range that were continuing uninterrupted. I was wondering at the wilderness of nature and was at awe at the wanders of the world. And it was through the windows of the elevated room which has been witnessing the beauty of nature for years. I was one more occupant in that wonderful space.
The glass panel occupying the window space was just an extended room into the nature. The scene through the window was picture perfect; yes it was literally picture perfect that needed to be captured, and preserved for posterity…the window’s enclosure figuratively framed the stunning scene into a perfect photo frame.
I quickly put my camera in motion and the rest is emotions encompassed in the capture. I was fortunate, truly so, to witness the mystical change of weather which brought with it the shifting colour and captivating scenes. It is not always the case and many visitors have missed it and have regretted the missed opportunity when they see these “picture perfect” photos framed. I was lucky…
In fact I was doubly lucky to be witnessing from the heavenly room the dark clouds flying with the rain at one resort front to the floating white clouds kissing the mountain peaks in another resort front. I had my lens positioned to frame the perfect capture in a single shot and the credit goes to the lovely ‘window’, and the wonderful ‘world’ was there to be framed. I was accidentally there and the camera was incidentally nearer…“window to world” of wonderful nature was treasured forever.
