Cranes & Crown
Beauty and Birds fire the wings of love and life…
– Nihar Pradhan
Photography needs the eye but builds on the skill and as a photographer I always look for the place and palace to make the capture memorable. It is a photographer delight to be in a place to seize the moment of magic in digital form, a place which is a pride for the country and envy for the world.
There are few places in this world and some visit in life that is once in lifetime opportunity which few of us only see it, live to feel it, and the first time visit to that place can only be once in life…Taj Mahal is one such place in this world.
Taj is a Persian word that means “crown” and amongst birds “cranes” are considered as messengers of gods…messenger of god flying can only fly towards the symbol of love. In certain part of the word the bird Cranes are symbol of immortality and the symbol of love at the Crown is immortalized.
It was my first visit, like any other first time visitor I was in awe and wonder. No wonder it is one of the seven wonder of the world. The splendor of the wonder is simply personified…I was marveled at the magic of white marbles. These were just not forming the geometrical shapes of the monument…marbles with soul were reflecting the fragrance with purity of eternal love.
The beauty is not in the eye of the beholder; but here every eye holds the beauty. The majestic mausoleum is mesmerizing…the crown was what I expected but somehow I was not contented, something was missing.
I waited and watched, patience I knew a vital virtue for a Photographer. The clouds gathered in the backdrop, but still wanted something more, my irresistible yearning persisted, and it was perfectly set for the cranes to make their mark in the background of the crown.
I as a visitor with Photographer’s cap, was in wonder when ‘the moment’ arrived…I was zapped but I managed to focus and fire. The “Cranes & Crown” was captured in the Canon camera for eternity…
